NanoHorizons has the experience and resources to develop custom engineered nanomaterials and has developed a wide variety of advanced, proprietary nanoparticle chemistries and product integration techniques. Our Ph. D. chemists and engineers have years of experience in nanotechnology development and have led projects ranging from semiconductor nanomaterials to nano-biotechnology devices.

We have developed noble metal nanoparticle products with delivery systems such as aqueous systems, organic solvents, dispersible powders, and polymer masterbatch.

We have developed a line of silver nanomaterials for use in a wide range of applications. These materials are part of our certified anti-microbial SmartSilver™ brand program.

Development lab - The NanoHorizons development lab has a variety of equipment available for synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials. We also have a biological testing facility for anitmicrobial testing.

Pilot production facility - The NanoHorizons production facility has the flexibility to scale up material production and to test large scale manufacturing techniques. We have equipment suitable for dispersion of nanomaterials including a twin screw extrusion compounding line for polymers.

NanoHorizons also utilizes the resources of The Pennsylvania State University. The Penn State National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network Facility is located across the street from our development lab, and there we can make use of over $15M of research equipment.
