NanoHorizons was founded in 2002 by a team of scientists from The Pennsylvania State University for the purpose of developing and commercializing nanomaterial-enabled products based upon an extensive intellectual property portfolio. The early work of the company included the development of high performance flexible electronics, and nanomaterial-based sensors and analytical chemistry devices for drug discovery.

NanoHorizons’ corporate offices, research laboratory, and manufacturing facility are all located in State College, Pennsylvania, either in or near Penn State University’s Innovation Park. There, NanoHorizons’ scientists and engineers collaborate with renowned organizations such as the Penn State NanoFabrication Facility and the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network to develop innovative nanoparticle solutions that are practical, cost effective, and eco-friendly.
